Election of Officers - May meeting - need to solicit nominees for officers.

New Business

  • Team Camp – Granby Camp, Virginia - scheduled for July 16-20 (July 9-13 always available for those who want to attend 2 weeks).  Jen reported that she has had discussions with Coach Griffin to make arrangements to have the younger wrestlers not stay at the dorms.  It was decided that information on camp will be provided at the next MWA meeting and that a mailing will be sent to all parents that they need to attend this meeting.

Moved by Demko, seconded by Miller that MWA contribute $100 per wrestler for Team Camp.

Kochinsky will work on bus transportation.

Jen is also looking at a candle fundraiser for individuals who are interested in selling candles for money directly to camp.  If anyone has any other suggestions, please let her know.

  • Camp Credit Accounts – Discussion took place on re-establishing camp credit accounts for wrestlers starting next year.  Guidelines and requirements would need to be drafted.  Scholarships still would be available for wrestlers who do not have any funds in his account.

  • Moved by Demko, seconded by Miller, that MWA investigate the cost of a new video camera and tripod for possible purchase next year.

  • A mailing will be sent for the next meeting indicating that an election of officers will be held and camp information will be distributed.
